ISLAMABAD: Today (Monday), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will preside over a National Security Committee (NSC) meeting where significant decisions regarding the issues discussed at the NSC moot last week are anticipated.
The meeting will be presided over by the prime minister and attended by civil and military officials. The participants will talk about issues pertaining to the economy and national security.
NSC vowed to take tough action against country’s resurgent terrorism on December 30 and labelled terrorists as “enemy of Pakistan.”
Sources claim that NSC would adopt unambiguous policies on the nation’s economy and security, as well as firm counterterrorism measures.
According to sources, significant decisions about the proposals discussed at the meeting on Friday are anticipated.

The committee decided to speed up efforts against terrorists during Friday’s NSC moot in response to the nation’s escalating insurgency.
The members of the NSC, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, were clear in their belief that Pakistan’s national interests would not be jeopardised and that no one would be permitted to compromise national security.
The statement had claimed that the PM had presided over the NSC meeting, which was attended by the heads of the services, the heads of intelligence, and government ministries.
The gatherings follow the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP), a proscribed terrorist organisation, declaring the cease-fire with Islamabad to be broken. And stepping up its attacks on security personnel, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
The meeting on Friday included a review of the nation’s economic and security circumstances, according to the statement.
Government and state institutions made the decision that Pakistan’s essential interests in security, growth, and existence would be well-protected with valour and long-term planning. There was a resounding call to protect the nation’s national interests. And to prevent anyone from undermining the fundamental idea of national security.
The meeting’s attendees also honoured the heroic sacrifices of martyrs and expressed their sympathies to their families.
Nation of Pakistan is united in its opposition to terrorism. And it was decided during the conference that terrorists are its adversaries.
The message promised “a full force response” to anyone who questioned the state’s authority.
Terror responds.
With the most recent wave of terror attacks occurring in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past several weeks, Pakistan has experienced a new surge of terrorism.
The Pakistani Army’s top brass made the decision to eradicate terrorism “without any discrimination” last week as the nation confronts a new wave of insurgency that has claimed many lives and damaged many more.
PM Shehbaz has also reaffirmed his intention to use all tools at his disposal to eradicate the threat of terrorism.
The prime minister has pledged to use every legal means at his disposal to keep terrorists in nation under check.
Five troops lost their lives in seven different explosions that occurred in several regions in Pakistan’s southwest province, while more than a dozen others were hurt.
Additionally, earlier this month, terrorists seized control of a CTD site in Bannu KP. Three days later, soldiers from the Pakistani Army cleared it. Ten soldiers were hurt, but four warriors chose martyrdom.
