Balochistan IED blast: The military’s propaganda wing announced on Friday that an improvised explosive device (IED) burst during a sanitization operation in Balochistan’s Kohlu district, killing two officers.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that an operation to sanitize the Kohlu area of Balochistan began on February 10 to “deny terrorists any liberty of action.”
An IED exploded close to the leading party while they were cleaning up the area after the explosion. Thus, Major Jawad and Captain Sagheer, two officers, “embraced martyrdom and sacrificed their life in defence of the homeland against an externally perpetrated threat,” the statement continued.
The military’s press office stated that they are still conducting a sanitization operation in the region to capture the “perpetrators and opponents of peace.”
Such despicable actions by adversarial forces cannot undermine Balochistan’s hard-won peace and development. The ISPR declared that the security forces are resolved to defeat their evil schemes, even if it involves bloodshed and casualties.
According to the military, a Pakistani Army soldier accepted death last month when an IED exploded in the general region of Jani Khel in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Bannu district.
The military’s media, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), released a statement in which it stated that Sepoy Gul Sher, a 24-year-old inhabitant of the Khyber province, “embraced shahadat [in the incident]”.
