dollar strengthens against Pakistani rupee: Karachi On Friday, the Pakistani rupee had slight declines versus the US dollar, falling 0.06% in the interbank market.
On the opening day of the new business week, the local currency fell 16 paisas to settle at Rs269.44 in relation to the US dollar. The US dollar’s closing price last week was Rs269.28.
The open market price of the dollar was Rs273.
Pakistan apparently failed to reach a settlement with the International Monetary Fund, causing a further decline of $202 million in the foreign exchange reserves held by the country’s central bank, which brought them to a new low (IMF).
