Rupee makes a massive Rs6.46 recovery in the interbank

Rupee recovery in interbank: The rupee’s gain in the week ending February 17 was around Rs6.46, the largest recovery run since September 2022.

The rupee gained 0.59% in the interbank market, according to data made public by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Friday.

From Thursday’s closing of Rs264.38 to Friday’s close of Rs262.82, it gained Rs1.56.

The rupee strengthened during the week, going from Rs269.28 at the beginning of the week to Rs262.82 at its conclusion.

From September 2022, the rupee has been on its best run ever.

The currency enjoyed a period of appreciation from September 22, 2022 to October 11, 2022, rising by Rs21.92 from Rs239.71 to Rs217.79.

The open market exchange rate for a dollar was 266 rupees.
