Imran Khan de-notified from NA seats: On Friday, the Pakistan Election Commission (ECP) denotified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan from six seats in the National Assembly, where he had previously won.

The former prime minister, who was removed from office last year, was de-notified from his seats in NA 22 Mardan, NA 24 Charsadda, NA 31 Peshawar, NA 108, NA 118 Nankana, and NA 239 Karachi, according to a notification from the electoral administration.

Khan had already received a letter from the ECP on January 19 certifying his victory on seven seats from the by-elections that were held in October of last year. Due to his apparent failure to provide the electoral commission with information regarding the party’s funding, the notification had previously been withheld.

Khan now holds the Kurram seat, for which he is eligible to take the oath and join the NA, following his de-notification from the six earlier seats.
