On Sunday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the 15th game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 saw Lahore Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi by 40 runs.
The Qalandars elected to bat first after winning the toss, setting Peshawar a target of 241 runs in 20 overs with just three wickets lost. Peshawar was unable to reach the target, scoring only 201 runs in 20 overs while losing 9 wickets.
Three of the four games Lahore has played this season so far have ended in victories. With two victories and two loses from their four league matches, they were ranked third before today’s game, followed by Peshawar at place four. There are four points each for both teams.
Star Babar Azam, a hitter from Pakistan, leads Peshawar Zalmi in runs scored with 171 runs at a strike rate of 131. He has hit 18 fours and two sixes.
