The authorities are currently sanitizing the region to eliminate any terrorists found in the area. The statement also stated that the area’s locals expressed their appreciation for the operation and full cooperation in eradicating the threat of terrorism from the region.

Security forces initiated an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the same region on May 31 in response to reports of the presence of militants, resulting in the killing of at least two terrorists.

A statement from ISPR reported that security forces engaged in a fierce firefight with the terrorists during the operation, killing two terrorists.

The army has conducted several successful operations against terrorist organizations in recent years, including North Waziristan.

These operations have been essential in destroying the terrorist infrastructure and eliminating these organizations’ threats to the general public and security personnel.

During his first press conference on April 25, Maj-Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, director general of the ISPR, revealed that they had conducted a total of 8,269 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) since January, resulting in the death or capture of 1,535 terrorists.

Security forces conducted 4,040 IBOs in Balochistan, 3,591 in K-P, 119 in Punjab, and 519 in Sindh. Since January, the army, police, and LEAs have performed more than 70 IBOs daily.
