According to the embassy, China has responded to allegations by Stoltenberg, who accused them of intimidating neighboring countries and suppressing dissent. The embassy statement emphasizes that China urges NATO to avoid inciting conflicts and causing unrest.

It also highlights concerns about certain NATO members extending their influence beyond traditional defense regions, particularly in the Asia-Pacific, leading to heightened regional tensions.

It stated that although NATO “claims to be a regional and defensive organization, certain members of NATO constantly extend beyond traditional defense regions, frequently establishing close military contacts with countries in the Asia-Pacific, which results in escalating tensions.”

However, The international community recognizes the clear and present threat to regional and global peace, as stated by the embassy.
