Asad Umar, the previous general secretary of the PTI, Jahangir Tareen, did not get in touch with him.

Asad Umar denies Jahangir Tareen contacted: When a journalist questioned Asad about joining Tareen’s party in an informal conversation at the district courts on Monday, Asad denied speaking to Tareen.

When a different reporter asked if Tareen had contacted him, Asad said, “No.” He further stated, “Jahangir Tareen has not contacted me.”

Asad stated that he has been attending court sessions since his release from prison approximately a week ago. He admitted that Fawad Chaudhry had contacted him.

When a journalist questioned Asad about the “agenda” of his former party colleague Faisal Vawda, Asad advised the person to ask Vawda directly.

A few days prior, Asad Umar claimed that a person’s decision to remain in or leave the party does not affect the party’s support base.

You know that the PTI’s vote belongs to Imran Khan, Umar stated to the media as he addressed them outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

On May 24, Asad Umar announced his retirement from all leadership posts within the party, including secretary general and core committee member.

Speaking at a press conference, he declared that the events of May 9 made it impossible for him to continue. He continued, “What happened on May 9 was not only condemnable but also something to consider.” He claimed that attacks on security installations were the most dangerous thing.

“I agree with Khan,” he continued, “that if there had been no army, Pakistan would have faced the same destruction as Syria and Iraq.”
