The Lahore High Court granted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s request for interim release in the Zile Shah murder case on Tuesday.
PTI chairman granted bail in Zile Shah case: Justice Anwar-ul-Haq asked the prosecutor during the hearing to explain the legal rules that mentioned the PTI leader in the FIRs.
Justice Haq inquired whether the matter was bailable, and the prosecutor responded positively.
The Punjab Assistant Advocate General read out the FIR in court, and the justice then questioned the prosecution about any connection between the defendants and the crime.
The judge remarked that it didn’t matter who the accused was as long as they clarified which legal rules called for the cancellation of his bail.
The court then granted the PTI leader bail in exchange for an Rs. 100,000 surety bond.
