Veteran politician Jahangir Tareen has introduced the “Istihkam-e-Pakistan” party in Lahore.

New Party Istihkam-e-Pakistan: Imran Ismail, a former governor of Sindh, Amir Kiani, Sardar Tanveer Illyas, Mahmood Molvi, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Ali Zaidi, Fayyaz ul Hasan Chauhan, Fawad Chaudhary, and Nauman Langrhial were among the PTI defectors who attended the news conference, according to reports.

Jahangir Tareen stated, “We all have one purpose, which is to work for the development of Pakistan” when announcing the new political party “Istihkam-e-Pakistan.”

According to Jahangir Tareen, the PTI put much effort into reforming Pakistan. Still, despite this, they failed to follow through on their campaign platform, leaving supporters disillusioned.

He continued that if the organizers and mastermind of the May 9 riots are not punished, it will be detrimental to the nation. The violence on May 9 has affected politics throughout the nation.

Jahangir Tareen emphasized the requirement for strong leadership to overcome social divisions and unite in the face of the current economic and political crises.

He declared that more people would join “Istihkam-e-Pakistan” in the upcoming days, and the party would do everything possible to live up to Pakistanis’ aspirations.

Additionally, After May 9, key lawmakers engaged in talks with Jahangir Tareen, who was actively involved in developing his new party, in formulating a future strategy.

It is important to note that Tareen served as the PTI’s secretary general before his expulsion from politics in 2017 due to the Supreme Court disqualifying him for being “dishonest” in response to a case brought by PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi.
