Tariq Malik, the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) chairman has decided to leave his position.
Tariq Malik resigns as Nadra chairman: According to sources, the head of Nadra will meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today to formally tender his resignation.
The Federal Investigation Agency is reportedly looking into Tariq Malik for potential involvement in a corruption case.
During the PTI government’s term on June 21, they appointed Malik as the head of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Malikha has previously served as Nadra’s leader.
The PML-N administration terminated his job in 2013, but the Islamabad High Court promptly reinstated him. Later, he announced his resignation, blaming intense pressure from the government.
