ISLAMABAD: The federal government has declared an extension of the Eid al-Adha celebrations by one day.
Government increases Eidul Azha holidays: The federal government issued a notification and added June 28th, Wednesday, to the Eidul Azha holidays.
In a notification issued on June 20, the federal government announced a three-day Eid holiday from Thursday, June 29, to Saturday, July 1. This declaration ensures that people will have an extended break to celebrate and observe Eid festivities across the country.
The sighting of the Zil Hajj moon was reported in Pakistan on June 19, indicating that Eidul Azha will be celebrated on June 29, which falls on Thursday. This announcement marks the confirmation of the date for the important religious festival in Pakistan.
Additionally, On June 26, Pakistan Railways (PR) will commence the operation of the first of three special trains for Eidul Azha. Further, The train will depart from Quetta at 10 am and head to Peshawar. The organizers are arranging these special trains to accommodate the increased travel demand during the festive season and to provide passengers with convenient transportation options.
Furthermore, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a 10% reduction in domestic flight prices during the Eidul Adha holidays.
