Along with the ten venues for the massive event, which will take place in India over the course of 46 days later this year, the schedule for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has also been made public.

ICC world cup schedule: The competition will begin on October 5 in Ahmedabad with a rematch of the 2019 Final between England and New Zealand.

The event will feature a total of 10 teams, with the first eight having previously qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The Qualifier competition in Zimbabwe, which ends on July 9, will determine the remaining two slots.

In a round-robin system, each team plays the other nine teams, with the top four teams moving on to the knockout stage and semifinals.

India and Pakistan

On Sunday, October 15, the eagerly anticipated match between Pakistan and India will take place in Ahmedabad. This will be the eighth time the two teams have met at a men’s World Cup.

Seven prior encounters between India and Pakistan took place in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2011, 2015, and 2019. The most recent 50-over World Cup match between these teams took place at Old Trafford in 2019.

A knockout round

On November 15, the first semi-final will take place in Mumbai, and the second semi-final will take place in Kolkata the following day. There will be a spare day for each semifinal.

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the Final on November 19, with November 20 set aside as a backup date.

Tournament Locations

Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata will be among the ten locations.

However, The warm-up games will be played in Hyderabad, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Thiruvananthapuram from September 29 to October 3.
