The federal government ordered a special audit of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee, with a particular focus on Najam Sethi’s tenure.
Govt audit Najam Sethi tenure: A letter urged the Auditor General of Pakistan to begin an audit primarily focused on the tenure of the previous PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi.
The letter stresses the requirement for a thorough investigation of the costs accrued during Sethi’s mandate.
The authorities have mandated the audit to immediately cover the period from December 22, 2022, to June 20, 2023.
The audit will examine a number of factors, including the use of finances and the rights given to Najam Sethi and other temporary management committee members.
It is important to remember that in December 2022, the federal government appointed a temporary management council for the PCB.
But several complaints about alleged wasteful spending by the management committee forced the government to act almost away.
