The Lahore High Court (LHC) revoked its stay order and permitted elections for the position of chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
elections for PCB chairman: On June 27, Justice Anwar Hussain publicly announced the decision on a petition opposing the PCB chairman election.
The PCB election commissioner unlawfully made modifications to the board of governors established by the interim management committee, as claimed by the petitioner. He pleaded with the court to invalidate his attempt to create a new board of governors by finding the election commissioner’s action to be illegal.
The PCB attorney stated at the hearing that Justice Shahid Karim was also hearing several petitions challenging the PCB elections but had not yet rendered a decision.
After hearing arguments, Justice Anwar Hussain revoked the stay order issued on June 28. Additionally, he forwarded the case to the chief justice of the LCH, requesting that he group all the complaints against the PCB chairman election.
Furthermore, the Balochistan High Court (BHC) halted the PCB’s attempt to organize elections for the chairman position on June 27.
