Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed his desire for the State of Qatar and Pakistan to continue to strengthen and expand their bilateral ties, particularly in the areas of trade and investment.

Pakistan and Qatar continue bilateral ties: According to a news release from the PM Office Media Wing, the ambassador of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, paid the prime minister a farewell visit in the PM Office.

The prime minister recognized the ambassador’s outstanding contribution to further solidifying the fraternal ties and expressed his happiness with the long-standing brotherly ties between the two nations.

The prime minister specifically cited the recent visit of a delegation from the Qatar Investment Authority as evidence of Qatar’s desire to invest in various areas of Pakistan’s economy.

He mentioned the increased frequency of high-level engagements between the two nations as well as their cooperation in the areas of energy, mining, food security, IT, and military.

The prime minister sent his best wishes to ambassador Al-Thani for his upcoming tasks. Ambassador Al-Thani expressed his gratitude to the Pakistani government and people for their warmth and friendliness, which made his visit there really memorable.

After completing his diplomatic mission this month, Ambassador Thani will depart Pakistan. He came in Pakistan in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020.
