According to sources, more than 30 provincial MPs must sign the application.

On the opposition benches in the Sindh Assembly, there are 30 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), 21 members of the MQM-P, 14 members of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), three members of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), and one member of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

In addition to selecting Rana Ansar for the position of opposition leader, MQM-P earlier in the day named Ali Khursheedi as its new parliamentary leader.

The MQM-P Rabita Committee made the choice during a meeting held at the Bahadurabad headquarters.

Mustafa Kamal, senior deputy convenor of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), declared a few days ago that his political party will not join forces with any other before the elections.

Mustafa Kamal stated that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan will not make an alliance with any political party before to the elections while speaking on the news programme “Aiteraz hai.” “We could engage in negotiations with the winning political party after the elections.”

Mustafa Kamal criticized the Sindh government, claiming that they had not yet addressed the water shortage problem in Karachi. He continued by saying that the quota system prevents Karachi residents from gaining jobs.

According to Mustafa Kamal, the efforts of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan resulted in the inclusion of 5.6 million Karachi residents in the population count. He claimed that the PPP, which is currently in power, is unwilling to delegate authority to a lower level.

In the Sindh Assembly, the opposition benches accommodate MQM-P legislators, and he claimed that they will also compete for the role of opposition leader.

In response to a query, Kamal stated that the MQM-P’s inability to break away from the current administration is a result of the declining state of the economy. The political agreement between PPP and the MQM-P has not been put into effect. Due to the federal government’s collaboration, the MQM-P is a part of the current administration.
