The brother of the former DG-ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, Najaf Hameed, has reported that valuables were stolen from his home while he was away.
Faiz Hameed’s brother robbed: In a FIR submitted to the Neela police station in Chakwal, Hameed said that after travelling to Lahore for surgery, he returned to his home in the Chakwal hamlet of Lateefal to discover that his safe had lost Rs. 10 million and his briefcase had lost another Rs. 700,000. Additionally, he claimed that an iPhone 13 had been stolen.
According to the FIR, the incident took place in April of this year.
Hameed accuses two of his home staff of having been given complete control over the management of the household. The two have been identified as Maqsood Ahmad of Chakwal and Musmyan Ashiq Hussain of Layyah.
He has also asserted that after speaking with everyone in the home, he is placing the blame on the two maids. He has asked the authorities to find and detain the two men.
In Chakwal, Najaf Hameed served as a naib tehsildar before being fired earlier this year. After General Asim Munir assumed command of the army late last year, his brother Faiz withdrew from the military.
