Pervez Khattak, a former adviser to Imran Khan and chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officially established his political party on Monday under the name Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian (PTIP).
Pervez Khattak launches new party: PTIP has gained the backing of 57 members of the provincial and national assemblies in order to support Pervez Khattak’s leadership.
Ishtiaq Armar, Ziaullah Bangash, Ghazan Jamal, Agha Gandapur, Ahtesham Javed, Akbar, and Ahmed Hussain Shah are notable group members.
Also joining PTIP are Falak Naz, Ibrahim Khattak, Asiyah Asad, Malik Javed, and Arbab Waseem.
Mehmood Khan, a former chief minister, is one of the well-known individuals who has joined the ranks of the newly founded party.
The PTI suspended Pervez Khattak’s basic party membership with immediate effect on July 12.
PTI served Pervez Khattak a show-cause notice on June 21, according to the notification, regarding allegations that he encouraged PTI leaders to defect.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) dismissed Pervez Khattak, a former leader of the party, following allegations that he encouraged former parliamentarians to leave the party during his tenure as federal defense minister from 2018 to 2022.
Sources indicate that they are planning a large event to introduce his new party, and Mr. Khattak, who emerged victorious in the NA-25 constituency of Nowshera in the 2018 general elections, is presently engaging in discussions with members of his former party.
