ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and his wife Bushra Bibi appealed to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday the judgement in a district and sessions court marriage case.
PTI chief Bushra Bibi challenge decision of court: Yesterday, an Islamabad district and sessions court found the alleged illegal marriage case of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and his wife Bushra Bibi acceptable.
The PTI chairman said that the allegations made in a private complaint do not fit within Section 496 in his appeal through Sher Afzal Marwat.
The plea accused Muhammad Hanif of making “baseless” accusations against my wife and me in his complaint and stated that he merely intended to smear us.
The PTI chairman has urged with the IHC to overturn the civil judge’s ruling, declaring the plea ineligible for the hearing.
Additionally, Mufti Saeed, the cleric who performed the former prime minister and Bushra Bibi’s Nikkah, brought attention to the couple’s purportedly un-Islamic Nikkah. “He asserted that the initial ceremony did not conform to Islamic Sharia law as it took place during Bushra Bibi’s iddat period.”
Furthermore, “The iddat period is obligatory for a Muslim woman in the event of her husband’s passing or the termination of their marriage.”
However, After divorcing her former husband Khawar Farid Maneka, the PTI chief wed Bushra Bibi in 2018.
