Pakistan, which had previously won the title in 2019 after defeating Bangladesh, successfully defended it.

Saim Ayub and Sahibzada, Pakistan’s openers, gave the team a superb start of 121 runs. Left-handed opener Saim Ayub was granted a lifeline when he was removed on a no-ball.
Pakistan was 183 for the loss of two wickets in the middle overs but only managed to score 187 runs after losing five wickets.
Then, as Tayyab Tahir completed an outstanding century, he had a standout combination with Mubasir Khan for 126 runs off just 97 balls.
Pakistan reached 350 thanks to Mubasir Khan’s 35 off 47 balls and cameos from Mehran Mumtaz and Muhammad Wasim Junior.
