The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) terminated the basic party membership of 13 additional party officials, including Raja Riaz, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, and Noor Alam Khan, the chair of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

PTI expels more leaders: Details indicate that the PTI removed more than 90 well-known leaders in less than a fortnight for breaking party rules.

The PTI terminated the membership of Ramesh Kumar, Nighat Orakzai, Wajiha Qamar, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, Nawab Sher, Makhdoomzada Syed Basit Ahmad Sultan, Afzal Khan Dhandla, Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar Wattoo, Aamir Talal Gopang, and Ahmad Hussain Dahar, among its leaders.

“We are informing you that we have terminated your basic membership from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Your membership has been cancell with immediate effect.”

The Party reserves the right to take action against you, which may also result in legal action, if you violate this directive by using the Party name, designation, and/or membership in any way.

PTI also served a show cause notice to Malik Shaukat Ali, a former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) MPA, for attending a meeting of a new party without notifying the appropriate authorities.

22 leaders, including the former chief minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, had their party memberships cancelled by PTI a day earlier.

It is important to note that several PTI leaders and lawmakers have left the former ruling party in the wake of the vandalism on May 9; these individuals include Fawad Chaudhry, Shireen Mazari, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Malik Amin Aslam, Mahmood Moulvi, Aftab Siddiqui, and Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, among others.
