Pakistan parliament to be dissolved today

In Pakistan, the five-year parliamentary term is schedule to end today (Wednesday), three days before the planned dissolution of the legislature.

Pakistan parliament dissolved today: At 5:30 p.m. today, the joint sitting of the parliament will conclude. The joint session’s two-point agenda has also been release. The traditional recitation of the Quran, Naat-e-Rasool, and the national hymn are on the schedule.

In addition, the gathering will discuss hot-button national topics like law and order, economics, Kashmir, and foreign policy. Also on the agenda are the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and raising awareness of climate change in order to come to an agreement.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef, who had previously state his intention to submit a dissolution summary to the president on Wednesday (today), is also expecte to deliver a farewell address to the joint session.

The National Assembly (NA) would be dissolve, the Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif announce on Tuesday. He will write to President Dr. Arif Alvi to request this on Wednesday, August 9.

At a ceremony in Islamabad, the prime minister declared, “After we have finished our term, I will write and advise President Alvi to dissolve the assembly and then an interim government will take over.”
