On Thursday, the price of the precious metal dropped to $1,922 per ounce on the global market.

In Pakistan, gold prices have been erratic since last year due to ongoing political and economic unrest, rising inflation, and a weaker currency. In these conditions, investors prefer to purchase bullion as a secure investment.
