The government has made it unlawful to fly the national flag alongside the banner of a political party in the federal capital Islamabad.

Authorities have also prohibited the sale of vuvuzelas, and the Islamabad police department has received stringent orders to actively monitor their surroundings.
On the occasion of Independence Day earlier this month, the judicial magistrate ordered authorities to take action against the marketers and users of toy horns (vuvuzelas), taking careful note of noise pollution.
As Independence Day approaches, vuvuzelas become a common sight throughout the nation, adorning market booths alongside other merchandise.
Judicial Magistrate-X (Malir) Syed Anwar Ali Shah has taken strict notice and instructed the police to take severe action against the use or sale of vuvuzelas, often known as honking toy horns, in accordance with Section 190(c) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
The magistrate further instructed the Sachal and Sharafi Goth SHOs to use the Pakistan Penal Code’s harshest penalties to punish anyone caught selling or using such toys.
