Outgoing provincial chief executive Murad Ali Shah and Leader of the Opposition in the provincial assembly Rana Ansar agreed on Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar’s nomination as interim chief minister (CM) for Sindh.

Maqbool Baqar named Sindh caretaker CM: During a meeting at the CM House, the outgoing chief minister and the leader of the opposition decided on Maqbool Baqar’s name. After signing, they forwarded the advise to Governor Sindh for final approval.

Sources that despite his name already being authorize, Justice (ret.) Maqbool Baqar would take the oath tomorrow (August 15).

The chief secretary of Sindh will officially appoint Justice (retired) Maqbool Baqar as the interim chief minister of Sindh.

On the recommendation of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Governor Kamran Tessori dissolved the Sindh Assembly on Friday (August 11).

After dissolving the legislature, the provincial government disbanded, and the law department issued a notification about the event.

Murad Ali Shah will continue to serve as the chief minister until the appointment of the caretaker CM.
