The much-anticipated ‘cage fight’ between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg took an unusual turn as they both engaged in an indirect verbal battle once more.
Musk Admits Joking About Cage-Fight: Initially, Musk’s initial challenge to the Meta owner was uploaded on Instagram story by Zuckerberg with the caption “Send me the location” and a screenshot of Musk’s tweet.
The owner of X responded by accusing Zuckerberg of ostensibly declining the challenge.
Musk wrote: “Fight Recap: I joked on X about fighting Zuck, and Zuck then said “SEND ME LOCATION”” on X (previously Twitter). Italy kindly provided a Colosseum. My suggestion that Zuck use his house as a “safe space” was rejected by him. Is there someplace he will fight? Tragically, he was…
Zuckerberg seems to have recanted the argument earlier on Sunday in a cryptic message.
He stated that he will “focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously” in a thread on Threads.
We all seem to agree that Elon isn’t being serious, therefore it’s time to move on. I proposed a genuine date. Dana White made the offer to turn this into a legitimate charity contest. Elon will not confirm a date, claims he requires surgery, and then requests to practise in my backyard instead, the author of the post wrote.
This didn’t sit well with Musk, who turned to X and attacked his opponent in technology. Musk wrote on Twitter, “Zuck is a chicken.”
“Meta and X/Twitter CEOs Spar Over Cage Match: Musk’s Challenge and Zuckerberg’s Retaliation”
According to Variety, a series of back-and-forth texts between the CEOs of Meta and X/Twitter originally generated discussions about a prospective cage match in the style of mixed martial arts. I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk posted in response to a discussion on Twitter from June 20. This statement started the conversation.
However, On his social media accounts, Musk recently revealed that he would be live-streaming the “Zuck v Musk fight” via X, channeling all proceeds towards charity. Further, In retaliation, Zuckerberg struck back at Musk by posting on Threads, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?” This post from Zuckerberg took a sly dig at X/Twitter.
