After facing criticism, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revised its video on the legacy of cricket and added politician-turned-cricketer Imran Khan.
PCB includes Imran Khan video: After removing former Pakistani captain Imran Khan, who led Pakistan to victory after winning the 1992 World Cup, the PCB received harsh criticism.
The cricket board neglected to include other athletes who have excelled for their country. Wasim Akram, a former cricket player, objected to the action and requested an apology.
The board announced in the most recent video that a marketing campaign for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has begun.
“It stated that on August 14, 2023, an online posting of one of the videos occurred. Because the video was excessively long, it underwent editing, resulting in the omission of specific critical segments. To rectify this concern, a revised full version of the video has been produced.
The revised edition of the film showcases Misbah-ul-Haq, a former captain, guiding Pakistan to achieve its inaugural No. 1 Test ranking.
Nida Dar, a Pakistani female cricket player, also made history by becoming the first to win 100 T20I wickets. The film also includes Pakistan’s gold medal victories at the Asian Games in 2010 and 2014.
Further, Critics criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for omitting Imran Khan, a former cricketer turned politician, from a movie that commemorated the history of cricket.
However, The preceding video doesn’t even mention Imran Khan, the legendary captain of Pakistan who led his country to victory in the 1992 World Cup.
