PTI challenge ECP’s delimitation schedule: According to a statement by a PTI spokeswoman, the party will contest the Council of Common Interests’ (CCI) decision about the upcoming census in the Supreme Court tomorrow.

The statement asserted that new elections should take place within 90 days and characterized the ECP’s comment on postponing elections as a “violation of the constitution.”

The statement stated that the CCI meeting does not allow the interim chief ministers of Punjab and KP to approve the census findings.

According to the PTI statement, the ECP’s delimitation schedule is a ploy to prolong the caretaker arrangement.

Earlier on Thursday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) stated that holding general elections within 90 days is not feasible.

According to information, the Pakistani Election Commission chose to hold the future general election on the census of 2023.

According to the ECP, the commission is required to complete the delimitation procedure. The first publishing will take place on October 9 and the last one on December 14.

however, The ECP meeting decided that the delimitation process will involve consultation with the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and the provincial governments.
