In the early hours of Sunday morning, capital police detained human rights attorney Imaan Mazari at her Islamabad home.
Imaan Mazari arrested: In a statement, the Islamabad police spokesperson claimed that the authorities were seeking both of them as part of ongoing inquiries.
A police representative stated that they would execute all actions in accordance with the law.
The spokeswoman added that the only remarks about the arrest that should be taken as fact are those made by the police departments.
In the meantime, her mother, Dr. Shireen Mazari, a former federal minister, has alleged that policewomen “in plain clothes” broke into their home and kidnapped her daughter.
Additionally, according to Mazari, the officials removed Imaan’s laptop, mobile, and security cameras.
Furthermore, authorities detained Ali Wazir, a member of the National Assembly (MNA), in Islamabad.
