An anti-terrorism court (ATC) arrested human rights attorney Imaan Mazari on charges of “interference in state affairs.”

Imaan remanded three days: Police detained Imaan in the early hours of Sunday on suspicion of meddling in official matters.

Following the conclusion of her one-day detention today, the court presented the female attorney. At the beginning of the session, Imaan’s attorney stated that her client had faced detention in two similar incidents.

The police are now asking for a 10-day detention of her client because they were unable to find anything during their 24-hour physical detention.

After hearing arguments, the ATC judge gave the police a three-day physical remand and the human rights attorney.

When Imaan Mazari first saw her mother Shireen Mazari, a former federal minister for human rights, on the court grounds, she started crying.

Imaan Mazari’s mother, Shireen Mazari, had earlier alleged that policewomen “in plain clothes” had broken into their home and kidnapped her daughter in the early hours of Sunday night.

According to Mazari, the authorities also confiscated in the security cameras, her daughter’s laptop, and mobile.
