The 2023 ACC Men’s Asia Cup roster was unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday. The tournament will begin on August 30.
India Asia Cup squad: KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, middle-order batsmen, returned to the ODI squad comprising 17 members for the Asia Cup, having received clearance to participate.
The recent T20I series against Ireland saw Jasprit Bumrah make his T20I comeback, and he has now joined the ODI lineup as well. Bumrah last participated in an ODI match in July of last year against England before suffering a back injury that forced him to miss nearly a year of activity.
Following his impressive performances in the T20I series against the West Indies, young batting prodigy Tilak Varma received his first ODI call-up.
The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan will serve as the Asia Cup’s first match on September 2 in Kandy.
If both teams succeed in qualifying for the Super 4s, the bitter rivals Pakistan and India will square off once more on September 10 in Colombo.

The opening match of the 2018 Asia Cup will take place on August 30 in Multan between host Pakistan and Nepal.
Pakistan will host four of the matches, including a Super 4s contest, while Sri Lanka will host the remaining matches, including the championship game.
Six teams will compete in the upcoming Asia Cup, divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 4s. The event will be held across the continent from August 31 to September 17.
Furthermore, The hosts, Pakistan, have grouped the co-hosts and defending champions, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, along with their bitter rivals, India, and Nepal, for the Asia Cup 2023.
However, The Asia Cup 2023 will incorporate the ODI format, providing Asian countries an opportunity to enhance their preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s World Cup.
