petrol increase notification is ‘fake’: According to the false statement, gas prices have increased to Rs 312. The decision regarding petrol prices, which will be in place for the following two weeks, will be made later on Thursday, according to a statement from the ministry of finance.
On the advice of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), the petroleum division of the ministry of finance publishes oil prices every two weeks.
The government will release prices for the following week, commencing September 1, at the end of August.
It was anticipated that the caretaker would raise rates by about Rs. 15 per litre in light of the weakening of the currency and the rising oil prices on the world market.
