The Counter-Terrorism Court (ATC) denied interim bail to Shah Mahmood Qureshi, senior vice chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Shah Mahmood bail dismissed: The details indicate that the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) revoked Qureshi’s interim bail in two charges filed against him at the Kahna police station due to his failure to appear in court.
After hearing arguments from both sides, ATC Judge Abu-Al-Hassnat made the ruling public.
Qureshi’s attorney, Ali Bukhari, previously submitted two different pleas to the court, requesting a day’s exemption from his client’s court appearance and summons notice. This occurred because his client is presently in detention in connection with a cypher case.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi is currently in custody, thus Bukhari requested with the court to prolong his interim remand, but his request was denied.
Prosecutor General Raja Naveed, on the other side, disagreed with the arguments and asked the court to reject the former foreign minister’s interim bail.
They are currently detaining Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in connection with a cypher investigation.
They arrested the PTI chairman and vice chairman for deliberately withholding a copy of the diplomatic cypher, which is relevant to mention here.
However, They recorded the first information report (FIR) of the Official Secrets Act on August 15 in response to the Home Secretary’s complaint.
