In the third PAKW vs SAW T20I, Nida Dar’s quickfire 36-run innings and a disciplined bowling performance helped Pakistan Women defeat South Africa and win the three-match series.
Pakistan Defeat South Africa: Despite Laura Wolvaardt’s half-century, South Africa could only amass 144/5 in their allotted 20 overs while attempting to chase down 151.
Wolvaardt scored a 54-ball 72, including nine boundaries, but Sadia Iqbal bowled her out when South Africa needed 18 runs off 10 balls. Despite her efforts, Wolvaardt couldn’t lead South Africa to victory.
In order to escape a defeat, South Africa suddenly needed 13 off of the final over.
Diana Baig of Pakistan bowled the final over, conceding just six runs and guiding her team to victory.
Apart from Wolvaardt, South African hitters contributed little to the run chase.
Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal each claimed two wickets for the Pakistani women.
Pakistan had the opportunity to bat first, and its batters, through a team effort, accumulated 150 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
With an enduring 41-run partnership, Pakistani openers Shawaal Zulfiqar and in-form Sidra Ameen established a strong base.
The two batted intelligently until youthful Shawaal stumbled in the seventh over against Nonkululeko Mlaba as South Africa made their first wicket.
With the help of three boundaries, Shawaal got 18 runs off of 19 deliveries.
The skilled Bismah Maroof then joined Sidra Ameen at the crease, and the two of them forged a crucial 49-run partnership for the second wicket.
In the third T20I, Sidra, who had hit a match-winning half-century in the second T20I between PAKW and SAW, was out for a run-a-ball 39 that included four boundaries.
After Sidra was dismissed, the seasoned team of Bismah and captain Nida Dar increased the total with an incredible 49-run partnership.

Before passing away on the penultimate delivery of the innings, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper batsman Muneeaba Ali contributed eight crucial runs to the team’s total.
