Pakistan seeks global attention on US arms left in Afghanistan

The Foreign Office (FO) stated on Friday that due to the fact that the weapons left behind in Afghanistan after the US withdrawal had “fallen into the hands of terrorists,” they deserve international attention.

Pakistan seeks global attention in Afghanistan: Her comments on military hardware come days after Pakistan’s acting prime minister asserted that militants had obtained US military hardware left behind during the US pullout from Afghanistan.

According to Prime Minister Anwaarul-Haq Kakar, the equipment is now “emerging as a new challenge” for Islamabad. It consists of a wide range of items, from night vision goggles to guns.

However, FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reiterated PM Kakar’s position, saying Pakistan had informed the interim Afghan government of its worries on the recent incident along the border.

She claimed that terrorists in Afghanistan now possess these cutting-edge weapons and are using them to strike Pakistan and its security services.

She continued by saying that Pakistan continues to be threatened by the weapons that are available in Afghanistan and have already reached terrorist organisations.

A spokesperson for the FO stated that the current situation requires attention on a global scale and urged all parties involved to accept their respective roles in this regard.

According to the spokesperson, Pakistan and the United States maintain active discussions about a variety of topics, including security and anti-terrorism issues.

Pakistan has been discussing its security concerns with the US and other allies both inside and beyond the region, she said.

However, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to defeating the terrorism threat.
