Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent movie, “Jawan,” which he starred in, broke a previous record set by the earlier this year released “Pathaan.”
Jawan biggest opening day in Bollywood: The movie’s official X account, formerly known as Twitter, published the information on Friday.
Shah Rukh Khan also commented on the warm reception and favourable initial reviews the movie was receiving.
“Wow, I must take a moment to thank every single fan club and all of you who have attended the movies so joyfully, even outside. I will undoubtedly take action as soon as I regain my composure in a day or two because I am so exhausted. Uff!! Love you for loving #Jawan,” the seasoned Indian actor exclaimed.
In India, Shah Rukh Khan’s movie “Pathaan” opened and closed with the highest-ever box office take for a Hindi film, earning INR2.5 billion ($30 million) in its first five days, according to AFP.
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film “Pathaan,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan, successfully revived the Bollywood film industry after the pandemic hiatus.
In the meantime, “Jawan,” a high-octane thriller, depicts the tale of a man determined to right society’s wrongs. The narrative touches on problems like crooked officials, farmer suicides, and a broken healthcare system.
Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi are also featured in the movie. Deepika Padukone has a lengthy cameo appearance in the movie as well.
‘Jawaan’ has already received early praise from the Bollywood film community on social media.
Bollywood actor Kiara Advani shared a movie poster and fire emojis on her Instagram Stories.
Kangana Ranaut, a fellow actor, posted a poignant message on Instagram Stories complimenting Shah Rukh Khan’s appeal to all generations and his perseverance.
“To rise to the status of the archetypal Indian mass super hero at the age of 60 (almost) after being the ultimate lover boy of the 1990s and fighting for a decade to reinvent his connection with his audience in his late forties to mid-fifties is nothing short of super heroic even in real life.”
Last week, Shah Rukh Khan visited Dubai to watch a screening of the film’s teaser displayed on the Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure on Earth.
