US not support any political party in Pakistan: When asked about a meeting between the US Ambassador and the head of the ECP, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller provided an answer.

The US does not back any political party in Pakistan, according to Mathew Miller, who claimed to have repeatedly clarified the US’ position on the general election there. He claimed that the US is in favour of Pakistan’s economic reforms.

The US Ambassador, Donald Blome, informed Pakistan’s Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja of his nation’s support for holding free, fair, and transparent elections.

Furthermore, Donald Blome spoke with Sikandar Sultan Raja, the head of the ECP, in Islamabad, according to a statement issued by the US Embassy, to discuss crucial issues pertaining to free and fair elections.

Additionally, According to the statement, the US would support Islamabad in organising free and fair elections that adhere to Pakistani law and the constitution.

However, Donald Blome emphasised that the people of Pakistan have the right to choose their future leaders and that the US will continue to collaborate with the elected officials of Pakistan to strengthen and widen bilateral ties.
