“These are the best and most powerful iPhones we have ever made,” the story goes.
Apple unveils iPhone 15 Pro: In a recorded presentation on Tuesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook and business officials presented the organization’s newest products.
The iPhone 15 and 15 pro, which have a titanium casing and a speedier CPU, are part of the new lineup. The 15 and 15 Pro both have an initial price of $799. Despite a challenging time for smartphone sales globally, Apple decided not to increase pricing.
The 48-megapixel camera on the iPhone 15 Pro and other models will both be brighter, and their batteries will be made entirely of recycled cobalt.
The launch of the new products coincides with persistent economic uncertainty, particularly in China, Apple’s third-largest market. Expanded limitations on the use of iPhones in government buildings and Huawei Technologies’ first brand-new flagship phone in several years present hurdles for the company there.
After the first hour of the event, Apple shares were down about two percent, with the announcements mostly meeting expectations.
The new Series 9 Watch from Apple also has a feature dubbed “double tap” that enables users to conduct actions like answering a phone call by tapping their thumb and finger twice simultaneously without touching the watch.
Here is Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer:
“When you make a ‘double tap’ with your hand and fingers, a machine learning algorithm identifies the specific characteristics of the microscopic movements and variations in blood flow.”
However, Cook stated that Apple’s Vision Pro mixed-reality headset is “on track” for delivery early in 2019.
