Kim Jong Un says Russia will win ‘great victory’

At a high-profile dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed confidence that Moscow would defeat its adversaries.

Kim Jong says Russia win ‘great victory’: As Moscow becomes more and more cut off from the West over its offensive in Ukraine, Putin met with the reclusive leader in Russia’s Vostochny cosmodrome in the Far East.

“We are confident that the Russian army and people will win a great victory in the just fight to punish evil groups who pursue hegemony, expansion, and ambition, and to create a stable development environment,” Kim stated.

Additionally, He said to Putin, “I fully hope that the valiant Russian army and people will magnificently inherit the tradition of victory and fiercely demonstrate their great dignity and honour on the two frontiers of military operations and establishing a strong nation.

Further, Russian news organisations said that Kim expressly mentioned Russia’s “special military operation”—the phrase Moscow uses to describe its incursion in Ukraine—during his speech.

However, US officials and analysts claim that Russia’s interest in acquiring North Korean weaponry for use in its assault on Ukraine contradicts international sanctions against Moscow.
