Acting Prime Minister Awaar-ul-Haq Kakar refuted the notion that the Taliban-led temporary administration in Afghanistan was oblivious to Pakistan’s worries.

Afghan Taliban listening Pakistan’s concerns: In an interview with Voice of America Urdu (VOA Urdu), he stated, “I don’t think that there is a perception that the Taliban was not listening to Pakistan, nor is there any such thing Pakistan has some special demand related to the Taliban.”

According to Kakar, Pakistan has problems with terrorism near its western border.

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces, along with regional nations such as Pakistan, China, Central Asia, and Russia, held extensive discussions during the ongoing Doha negotiations. As stated by Kakar, they underscored that no country affiliated with terrorism should utilize Afghan soil against others.

He further claimed that during the Doha negotiations, the Afghan Taliban had demonstrated commitment and had been persuade to engage in ongoing dialogues with neighboring countries in the region. “Now, there are various and possibly numerous reasons why it isn’t happening.”

He said that Pakistan was paying attention to various issues and acting accordingly, and that it was also participating in the right forums to play the desired role from the opposite side.

The acting prime minister asserts that Pakistan has a right to self-defense. We’ll “take the actions we think are required to protect our people and our environment.”

He steered clear of discussing the specifics of the actions Pakistan would conduct in response to the terrorist threats.

“We will decide how to react to those threats as needed. Hopefully, it will show what we are capable of or what we want to do.

He refuted the idea that the US had covertly left weapons in Afghanistan.

The prime minister stated that the security situation at Pakistan’s borders will not lead to the postponement of the general elections.

Further, “I don’t see such a possibility right now,” he said.

He said, “We are certain that we will maintain control of the situation and complete the electoral process concurrently.
