Zelensky arrives in Washington, says air defence aid ‘top issue’

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, arrived in Washington on Thursday to start discussions about acquiring more US weapons. As Moscow continued its missile assault on Ukraine, Zelensky declared that “air defence” is Kyiv’s top priority.

Zelensky arrives in Washington: On his second trip to the US during the Russian invasion, Zelensky is scheduled to meet with President Joe Biden. Ahead of the discussions, Russia launched a volley of missiles towards Ukrainian cities.

Important negotiations are taking place in the Washington today. One of the most important challenges for the Ukraine is air defence, Zelensky stated on the Telegram as he arrived from New York.

Zelensky denounced Moscow’s “massive” overnight strike, which left several people injured across different areas and several dead in the southern city of Kherson.

“The majority of the missiles were destroye. only the majority, though. Not all,” remarked Zelensky.

He expressed gratitude to the nations that had “given Ukraine anti-missile systems.

“We are working to completely rid Russia of its terrorist potential,” he continued. “We must reach this conclusion,”
