Elections can take place without PTI chairman: PM Kakar

Must Read

“Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, claimed that elections could proceed without the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).”

Elections can take place without PTI chairman: PM Kakar stated, “We can conduct fair elections without the PTI chairman or the hundreds of members of his party who are presently imprisone due to their involvement in illegal activities, such as vandalism.”

He claimed that thousands of PTI members who stayed away from illegal activity “will be running the political process, they will be participating in the elections.”

“We are not pursuing anyone on a personal vendetta,” PM Kakar continued. Of course, we’ll make sure the law is proper. Ensure the restoration of the law for anyone, whether it is the PTI chairman or any other politician, who violates the country’s rules regarding their political conduct. That is not the same as… political prejudice.

The PTI chairman picked the Election Commission’s current chief, he claimed, so “why would he turn in any sense of the word against him?” The Election Commission, not the military, will conduct the poll.

In response to a question on the election date, PM Kakar stated that when the commission determines a precise election date, his government “will provide all the assistance, financial, security, or other related requirements.”
