Iran’s Raisi says Israeli ‘normalization’ deals will fail

Ebrahim Raisi, the president of Iran, claimed in a Sunday interview on American television that efforts by the US to normalise Israeli relations with Gulf Arab nations, particularly Saudi Arabia, “will see no success.”

Israeli ‘normalization’ deals will fail: Raisi also said that Iran hasn’t indicated that it doesn’t want nuclear inspectors from the UN’s nuclear watchdog in the nation in an interview with CNN.

Days after Tehran prevented several inspectors sent there, Raisi stated that Iran had no objections to the UN nuclear watchdog inspecting its nuclear sites.

Iran’s Raisi says Israeli ‘normalization’ deals will fail

Following a US-led diplomatic initiative in 2020 aimed at normalizing relations, Israel has drawn closer to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.

The ultimate goal for Israel would be to establish relations with Saudi Arabia, the country that is home to some of Islam’s holiest sites, as this would alter the geopolitics of the Middle East.

Regarding Iran’s nuclear initiative, Raisi said:

“We have often declared the prohibition of using nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction in general. Why? Because we have no need for it and no belief in it.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has not stated that it does not want any inspectors present.
