An anti-terrorism court in Karachi has ruled to release Haleem Adil Sheikh, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in connection with the May 9 violence case.

ATC orders release Haleem Adil Sheikh: According to information, the anti-terrorism court has ordered the release of Shabir Hussain, Basharat Hussain, Abdussamad, Haleem Adil Sheikh, and four other PTI employees.

The court ruling mandates immediate release for the PTI leader if he has not been detaine in connection with any other cases. However, it should be note that the PTI leader has been detaine in connection with another case, which has been reporte to the Ferozabad police station.

After the bail was accepted in exchange for the Rs 0.1 million surety bond, the release order was issued.

Hours after an ATC had ordered his release, Haleem Adil Sheikh, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was once again detained outside the Karachi anti-terrorism court on August 31.

The ATC denied the police’s request for a physical remand of the former Sindh opposition leader during the hearing.

The court rejected the police’s request and ordered the immediate release of the PTI Sindh branch president.

But soon after his release, Sindh police detained Sheikh in connection with another crime.

On August 30, authorities initially detained Sheikh, the former opposition figure in the Sindh Assembly, when she arrived at the SHC to request bail in the vandalism case, after her disappearance following the May 9 incident.
