Govt further increases electricity: According to data, the National Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has notified the government-approved increase in the head of the quarterly fuel adjustment, scheduled to take effect from October 2023 to March 2024.

The article states that higher costs will affect all users across the nation, including residential, commercial, industrial, and K-Electric customers.

This action is expect to have a significant financial impact, with consumers anticipated to pay a total of 146 billion rupees.

The high cost of power will result in an additional burden for all consumers of 146 rupees.

The monthly surcharge for customers using 100 units is Rs328.14, while the monthly surcharge for customers using 200 units is Rs656.28.

Additionally, a bill for Rs912 would be incurred for using 400 units, and a payment for Rs684.42 would be incurred for using 300 units.

A further price of Rs. 1,140 for 500 units and Rs. 1,368 for 600 units would be charged to customers.

Customers would pay an extra Rs 1,596 per month if they used 700 units.
