Security forces killed ten terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Tank area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, according to a statement from the military.

Security forces kill terrorists in Tank: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the military conducted the operation in the Pezu area of the district, where a fierce firefight occurred between the military and militants.

According to the statement, the terrorists continued to aggressively engage in a variety of terrorist acts against security forces, including extortion and the murder of unarmed citizens.

They also reported finding a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives during the operation.


The community welcomed the operation, which affirmed Pakistan’s security forces’ commitment to eliminating the terrorism threat from the nation.

An earlier assessment from a think group in Islamabad claimed that terrorist attacks in Pakistan were on the rise, with 136 people murdered in 65 militant strikes across the nation in September.

According to the monthly report from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), 144 individuals, including civilians and security personnel, were injure last month. The report also provides the number of terrorists injured.

The number of attacks was noticeably down 34% from August, but there were 21% more fatalities and a dramatic 66% spike in injuries, according to the data.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) was the area that was most frequently attacked, with 23 attacks that resulted in 34 fatalities and 78 injuries. Contrarily, Balochistan experienced a marked rise in fatalities, largely as a result of a single attack in Mastung, it claimed.

“Civilians made up 62% of those murdered across the nation, while members of the security services and militant attackers made up 19% of fatalities. According to the study, of those hurt, 53% were civilians, 29% were terrorists who were attempting to assault, and 17% were members of the security forces.
