PTI leader Usman Dar announces to quit party and politics

Usman Dar declared that he would leave the party and politics, claiming he was “disappointe after the May 9 incident,” dealing another blow to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Usman Dar quit party and politics: Usman Dar, according to a previous PTI report, was “picked up by unknown persons” in Karachi’s Malir Cantt neighbourhood. Dar did, however, make an appearance in an interview with journalist Kamran Shahid for his Dunya TV programme on Wednesday, days after being missing.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to leave both the party and politics,” he declared.”I’m a misfit in all of this.”

The change occurs at a time when several PTI leaders have already quit the group as a result of the May 9 incident, which saw several of its followers arrested.

“I have always given the troops my appreciation, and I have always valued our martyrs. I had gone on May 6 to go see my relatives. Further, I think that the tragedy on May 9 did not happen in a single day,” the PTI leader stated.

In the interview, Dar asserted that Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, was in favour of a theory that called for using “human shields” to protect Khan from prospective arrest.

He continued by saying that Khan supported the party’s “anti-establishment” narrative. Imran Khan like front-runners since he was a sportsman in the past.

Dar asserted that the party had two different mindsets. One group, which included Azam Swati, Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed, and Farrukh Habib, was in favour of confrontational politics.

“I, Asad Umar, Shafqat Mehmood, Ali Muhammad, and Omar Ayub were part of the other group that advocated reconciliation with the establishment,” he continued.

PTI’s response to the Usman Dar charges claims that Usman Dar was allegedly coerce into making these assertions.

“Concerns Raised About Usman Dar’s Well-Being During Interview,” Says PTI Central Punjab Secretary General

In a separate statement, the Secretary General of PTI Central Punjab expressed concern about Dar, noting that “he appeared to be trembling and on the verge of crying” during the interview.

Azhar posted on X, formerly Twitter, “He [Usman Dar] needs immediate trauma and pain therapy instead of having to perform in this scripted show.”
