The opening match of the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup between England and New Zealand is set to take place (today) on Thursday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India.

From October 5 to November 19th, 10 teams will compete in the tournament, which will be contested at ten different locations. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, which will take held on November 15 in Mumbai and November 16 in Kolkata.

There will be reserve days for the semifinals and championship.

On October 8 in Chennai, hosts India and five-time champion Australia will square off. The most anticipated and talked-about game between longtime rivals India and Pakistan will take place on October 15 in Ahmedabad.

Venues

However, The tournament’s opening game and finale will be played at Stadium in Ahmedabad. Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune are the other nine locations. The games will also be held in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram in addition to Hyderabad.

Additionally, The round-robin format from the previous tournament is carried over, with a total of 45 league matches pitting every side against every other.

Timings

However, All other matches, including the knockout rounds, will be day-night affairs beginning at 14h00 Indian Standard Time (IST). Further, There are six day matches that will begin at 10:30am IST.
